About Karen Eaton

Karen Eaton Karen is a Massachusetts attorney currently working part-time in a “nontraditional” position for the Office of the General Counsel at the Massachusetts Department of Social Services, where she coordinates an internal multidisciplinary advisory board which reviews recent case law and suggests policy changes and practice improvements designed to improve the delivery of clinical and legal services in the state’s child welfare system.

Prior to working for DSS, Karen worked as an associate for a small Western Massachusetts law firm, practicing in the areas of estate planning and administration, real estate and corporate law, and as a law clerk to the justices of the Massachusetts Superior Court. She is a 2004 magna cum laude graduate of Western New England College School of Law. Prior to law school, Karen also worked for DSS as a child welfare social worker.
